Fans Are Divided Over Jurassic World: Rebirth – Is It a Masterpiece or a Misfire?
🎬 Movie Review: Jurassic World – Rebirth
By Khabridose Entertainment Desk
Jurassic World: Rebirth brings the legendary franchise back with a darker, more grounded take on humanity’s ongoing struggle with its prehistoric past. Set years after the chaos of Jurassic World: Dominion, the film explores a world still grappling with the consequences of living alongside dinosaurs.
The story centers around Dr. Elina Morse (played by Jodie Comer), a brilliant geneticist who believes dinosaurs can be peacefully integrated into society. But when a biotech corporation weaponizes her research, things spiral into global crisis. From rogue raptors in Tokyo to black market dino auctions in Eastern Europe, Rebirth is a globe-trotting thriller with a message.

Director Gareth Edwards (Rogue One) delivers a more serious tone than previous entries. The visual effects are breathtaking — particularly a suspenseful underwater sequence featuring a Mosasaurus — but the film doesn’t rely solely on spectacle. It digs deeper into themes like environmental ethics, corporate greed, and human arrogance.
Jodie Comer is compelling, balancing scientific passion with emotional vulnerability. Mahershala Ali adds depth as a conflicted military officer. While legacy characters like Jeff Goldblum and Bryce Dallas Howard make brief appearances, the film wisely focuses on a new generation of characters.
Rebirth isn’t flawless — some subplots feel rushed, and the pacing dips in the middle — but it’s a refreshing change from the over-the-top chaos of its predecessors. The tone is more mature, the stakes more personal, and the message timely.
⭐ Khabridose Rating: 3.5/5
A bold and thought-provoking revival of the Jurassic saga, blending action with meaningful storytelling.
